What is 24-Hour Home Care?
24-hour home care is a service that provides continuous, around-the-clock assistance and support to individuals who require ongoing care at home. It’s ideal for those who require ongoing care and support due to a chronic illness, disability, or aging.
It can be provided by a professional caregiver or a team of caregivers who offer a range of services, including personal care, medication management, meal preparation, transportation, and companionship. This type of care is often necessary for seniors or individuals with chronic health conditions who require constant monitoring and assistance.
The two most common types of 24-hour home care are live-in care and shift care, as mentioned earlier. Live-in care involves a caregiver living in the client’s home, while shift care involves multiple caregivers working in shifts to provide 24-hour care.
How Does 24-Hour Home Care Work?
24-hour home care can be provided in various ways, depending on the individual’s needs and preferences. The two most common types of 24-hour home care are live-in care and shift care.
Live-In Home Care
Live-in care involves a caregiver living in the client’s home, providing care and assistance as needed throughout the day and night. The caregiver typically works for several days or weeks at a time, with breaks in between. This type of care is suitable for individuals who require constant monitoring and assistance and prefer the companionship of having a caregiver living with them. This arrangement is ideal for those who prefer the companionship of having a caregiver living with them.
Hourly Home Care or Shift Care
Shift care, on the other hand, involves multiple caregivers working in shifts to provide 24-hour care. This type of care is suitable for individuals who require round-the-clock care but may not require a caregiver to be present at all times. The caregivers work in shifts, typically 8-12 hours long, and hand over care to the next caregiver at the end of their shift.
It’s important to note that 24-hour home care can be personalized to meet the individual’s needs and preferences. The specific services provided will depend on the individual’s health condition, mobility, and other factors.
We work hard to provide excellent service. Our mission, vision, values, and training allow us to shine above the rest.
