While it’s unknown what exactly led to the establishment of Family Fun Month, it’s likely the last summer hurrah for families before school resumes. Your family wants to gather for one more big gathering with your dad. What are some of the best ways to spend time together during Family Fun Month? Plan a Day at the Beach
Spend the day at the beach. If you pick one that has a boardwalk or paved walkways, your dad won’t struggle to walk. If he cannot walk in the sand, some beaches have beach wheelchairs with wide tires you can borrow. Bring sunscreen and plenty of water.
Have a Backyard BBQ
A backyard BBQ is a good way to spend time together without having to go anywhere or do much. If everyone brings a dish and people share grill duties, you’ll all have plenty of time to relax, play games, and talk.
Pack a Picnic
Where do you know your dad loves to spend time? If he has a favorite state park, pack a picnic and take him there. Does he love waterfalls, find a park with a waterfall you can walk to.
Set Up a Movie Night
How about having a movie night at your dad’s house? Make it an early dinner where everyone chips in and brings something or order pizzas for a change. Put on movies that your dad’s been wanting to see.
